Deep In The Woods of Serenbe
October 28-30 8pm
Tickets $15

After migrating south to Atlanta last winter, storyteller and comedian Rachel Teagle is sharing spooky stories and tales from her semi-haunted apartment in “Rachel Teagle Believes in Ghosts.” Travel deep into the woods of Serenbe, if you dare, and experience this Atlanta-Premiere solo show.

Rachel delves into her own haunted history, from California’s Winchester Mystery House to the disappearing cemeteries in Savannah. In exploring her haunted apartment, built on a Union Army campsite, Rachel discovers murder ballads, unexplained phenomena and tales passed down from the women in her family who see ghosts. The stories range from frightening to ridiculous and are told through words, music, and dance.

Having just premiered the piece in Minneapolis at The Fringe Festival the reviews are in:

You wouldn’t imagine this to be Rachel Teagle’s first solo show.

She’s a very confident performer and exceptionally fine writer who has created something special in her monologue about goose bump-inducing brushes with specters.

She suffuses the stories with evocative sensory details, breathing life into each encounter with the 18th-century redhead outside her apartment window or a visit to an allegedly ghost-designed house. She even composes and sings a murder ballad to appease the spirit who keeps moving things around in her kitchen.

In this involving piece, Teagle pulls off the rare feat of being both frightening and funny. VERDICT:Must see
