What We Do:

Experience a school Field Trip with the most INTREPID and FEARLESS of theatre companies
One that produces its REINVENTED productions in the never ending expanse of the GREAT OUTDOORS

Student groups will join the Playhouse in Serenbe to experience our state-of-the-art, professional outdoor productions, complete with a talk-back with the actors after each performance. Cross-curriculum exercises can also be provided to teachers for an imaginative and fun way to bring the classroom to Serenbe and the grounds of Serenbe back to the classroom! Our immersive and truly unique outdoor theatre performances offer opportunities for students to spend time outdoors while challenging young scholars to be inspired and informed by the world around them.

Our playhouse presents three Educational Productions a year, each based on a famous work of literature or iconic story, perfect for cross-curriculum integration for a multitude of courses through exposure to Fine Arts. No two field trips are ever the same at Serenbe Playhouse, as every production is inspired by a different time of year and a new location on the beautiful grounds of Serenbe, a living community and nature preserve located on 1,000 acres of meadows, preserved forests, and the lush countryside of Chattahoochee Hills, Georgia.

Each production includes a private talk-back and photo opportunity with the actors post-performance, and a complimentary location on the stunning natural grounds of Serenbe for a picnic lunch (just bring your blankets and a sack lunch!) For an additional fee, your group may also customize your Playhouse experience by ordering a lunch from local bakery The Blue Eyed Daisy, participating in an Interactive Workshop, venturing on a tour of the Animal Village to feed the farm animals, or learn about organic farming and harvesting with Serenbe Farms.

Experience • Grow • Learn.

Time and time again research has proved that exposure to the arts provides a bounty of positive effects on young minds; with studies indicating exposure to the arts improves student academic performances, standardized test scores, social skills, abilities to excel in STEM studies, personal motivation, and (equally as rewarding) promoting well-rounded and creatively happy students!

Book your field trip today with Serenbe Playhouse for an experience sure to inspire, enrich and enhance any student’s classroom experience!

Set in the treetops of the woods of Serenbe and directed by Broadway’s Paul McGill, the iconic characters of Robin Hood will fly right over student’s heads on zip line, redistributing wealth as they go! But Robin Hood’s defection is not in the name of recklessness — he’s a man of the people who steals from the rich and gives to the poor. Alongside his band of Merry Men, epic swordfights and battles follow our hero everywhere he goes, as he chases romance and righteousness with the lovely Maid Marian deep in the woods of Serenbe’s own magnificent Sherwood Forest.
