The day will begin with fun theatre games and exercises, followed by a field trip to Serenbe Playhouse’s professional production of Charlotte’s Web! After lunch and feeding the animals, campers will get into costume and prepare for our 2:00pm Showcase! Friends, family and loved ones are all invited to join us for the showcase, and stay for an end-of-camp celebration until 3:00pm with games, pot-luck snacks and activities! Please bring a snack or sweet treat to share!

FAQs and other things:

Pictures – We take pictures at camp so parents can see all of the fun we have! Serenbe Playhouse loves social media and to occasionally share Camp pictures on Facebook and Instagram, as well as our website, so please become a fan of our pages to share in the fun! Parents are always given the option of not having pictures of their child posted if they prefer, please see photo release in digital registration packet (sent 1-2 weeks prior to camp). At the end of camp we will share privately with parents a link with photographs and video of the final showcase performance so parents and campers have memories to last!

Technology – Serenbe Playhouse Academy offers a rare experience in today’s technologically geared society, providing our campers exposure to art through connection with nature, offering opportunities to spend time outdoors, and challenging our young artists to look at their environment and to create art inspired by the world around them. So that said: No cell phones or electronic games at camp so campers can connect with nature and each other! Personal cameras are allowed.

At Home – Is the perfect place to continue to engage your child! Help them run lines or practice dances or songs, ask them to teach the family a new theatre game or share something they learned! We guarantee it will put a smile on your faces! Also we do spend time in the woods and outdoors in the sun, so once home please do check for ticks each day, re-hydrate, and get good rest each night.

At Camp – Serenbe Playhouse Academy is very conscious of creating a safe and nurturing environment for children to be themselves. Please remind you child that while they are at camp their counselor is in charge. If your child ever has a problem with another child during camp they should be comfortable communicating that to a counselor during a snack or lunch break. If your camper does not feel comfortable approaching their counselor during the day, please do not hesitate to contact Director of Education, Jennifer Acker, via email or phone. If your child is causing continuous problems in their group, they will be asked to sit out. If the problem persists, the child will be sent home.

Overview  – Serenbe Playhouse Academy is so looking forward to inspiring and engaging with your children this Summer!
